Project Scope

The work delivered at Cinespace Toronto focused on strengthening and expanding a best-in-class studio ecosystem through the development of large-format stages, integrated support facilities, and campus-wide infrastructure enhancements.

  • Approximately 44.5 acres across the Toronto platform
  • 23 sound stages across the Toronto portfolio
  • Kipling Campus Development and Netflix Production Hub
  • Expansion of Titan Stages 01 and 02, each with 20,000 sq. ft. of stage space
  • Construction of 4 large-format sound stages at the Netflix Production Hub
  • Inclusion of 33-foot clear heights at the Netflix stages

The result is a highly scalable and flexible production environment capable of supporting the world’s leading studios and streaming platforms, including Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Disney/Fox, and Apple TV.

Cinespace Studios Toronto

The Cinespace Toronto platform spans approximately 44.5 acres and includes 23 sound stages alongside a full complement of production and support facilities. Its scale, combined with proximity to downtown Toronto and access to strong government incentives, has made it one of the most sought-after filming locations globally.

Cinespace Toronto was also selected as the home of the Toronto Netflix Production Hub, further reinforcing its role as a critical node in the global content production network.

Kipling Campus Development

At the core of the Toronto portfolio is the Kipling Campus, the largest studio campus in Canada and one of the most in-demand production environments in North America. Spanning over 30 acres and approximately 775,000 square feet of stage and support space, the campus was designed as a fully integrated production ecosystem.

Recent enhancements to the campus include the expansion of the Titan Stages (01 and 02), each featuring 20,000 square feet of stage space, 45-foot clear heights, and approximately 18,000 square feet of dedicated support space. These large-format stages are designed to accommodate increasingly complex productions requiring scale, vertical clearance, and technical flexibility.

A campus-wide gating initiative is also underway, transforming the site into a secure, controlled-access environment that enhances operational efficiency, privacy, and production security.

Netflix Production Hub

A key component of the Toronto project is the development of the Netflix Production Hub, located on a 7-acre site within downtown Toronto’s Studio District. Strategically positioned near hotels, support services, and frequently used filming locations, the facility was designed to meet the evolving needs of high-volume, global content production.

The Netflix Hub includes:

By combining strategic site development, advanced stage design, and a focus on operational efficiency, the project reinforces Cinespace Toronto’s position as Canada’s leading production hub and a key contributor to the global film and television industry.
